THE CLIENT
- Investment Manager with a global footprint delivering solutions across public and private markets, institutional, retail and wealth solutions.
- An Aladdin Enterprise user for 6+ years with a mature, complex instance covering multi-region and widespread instrument and investment strategy coverage.
The Ask
- Design, prove and deliver a target driven portfolio implementation capability, using Aladdin Portfolio Construction, for a Multi-Asset hedge fund.
- Standardise the use of Aladdin® across the Multi-Asset strategies, remove reliance on End User tooling, reduce overall portfolio complexity and improve pre-trade processes and controls.
What we did
- Design: Strata designed the optimisation solution using a deep understanding of the investment process, comprehensive knowledge of Aladdin data and front office applications and operating model best practice.
- Proof of Concept: Strata implemented and controlled a day-on-day proof of concept to validate the design and target model.
- Delivery: deployment of a delivery team to manage resource and timeline targets, through the implementation lifecycle to controlled cutover to the new model. All delivery objectives, including quality and timelines were achieved.
- Client Perception: further enhanced the client-vendor relationship as an effective delivery partner for complex Aladdin implementations and operating model change.

- Improved the effectiveness of the portfolio implementation function and standardised operating process and controls, through target upload, target subscription, effective data visualisation and order creation, delivering key Operational Alpha principles..
